Havana, February 20 (RHC)-- The development of sustainable transportation systems in Havana and other Cuban provinces was at the center of discussions by Cuban and British experts in the field, who held a workshop promoted by local and British entities.

The Center of Environmental Engineering for Harbors and Coasts and the University of Colleges in London organized the forum with the support of the British embassy in Havana.

Some proposals included the need to increase the number of available buses, lower the frequency in different routes, decrease the emission of harmful gases, and improve urban transportation lines, among others.

Experts from the two countries agreed that the quality of life is the main benefit for human beings and they also stressed the significance of culture and sustainability.
