Havana, May 19 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Cuban Communist Party's Central Committee Raúl Castro has conveyed his profound condolences to the relatives of the plane crash victims.
Raúl, who is recovering satisfactorily from a recent planned surgery, is being kept abreast of the situation.
The ill-fated aircraft, a Boeing 737 carrying 104 passengers and crew, crashed within minutes after taking off from the José Marti International Airport in Havana.
Official reports revealed that four people on the plane had survived, however, one of the crash survivors died shortly after at Havana’s Calixto Garcia hospital from severe burns and other trauma.
