New Constitution will be proclaimed on April 10th

Havana, March 28 (RHC)-- The Council of State, in a meeting held last Monday, March 25, decided to convene an Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of People's Power for April 10 for the proclamation of the new Constitution of the Republic, which was ratified by the Constitutional Referendum held last on February 24.

The Council of State also carried out a preliminary analysis of the results of the Constitutional Referendum, based on the information provided by the National Electoral Commission.

The Council also agreed to convene another Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of People's Power for April 13 in order to evaluate the progress of the National Economic and Social Development Plan until 2030 and to know the status of the implementation of the Guidelines approved at the Seventh Congress of the Party.

Both special sessions will be held at Havana´s Convention Center, and will start at 9 am.
