Radio Havana will air special broadcast on Human Rights Day

Havana, December 10 (RHC)—Radio Havana Cuba's English language service will air an hour-long special program this Tuesday, December 10, at 15:00 hours local time, 20:00 hours UTC, on occasion of Human Rights Day.

Cubavision International TV will also carry the program

The broadcast will focus on Cuba's promotion and respect of Human Rights domestically and internationally, challenges that remain on the island, and the main themes it promotes on human rights issues within the U.N. System.

The broadcast will be aired live from the Foreign Ministry's International Press Center in Havana.

Special guests on the program include Ricardo Alarcón de Quesada, former President of the Cuban Parliament and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gerardo Hernandez Nordelo, one of the Cuban Five, and a National Hero of Cuba, and Foreign Ministry officials, Johana Tablada, Margarita Valle Camino and Alejandro Gonzalez Behemaras

Radio Havana Cuba's signal will be available on its regular shortwave frequencies, on its local F.M. frequency.  The station's website will also stream the broadcast.
