Havana, January 31 (RHC)-- Cuba and Germany confirmed on Friday the positive state of their relations, said diplomatic sources of the Caribbean nation.

The director-general of Bilateral Affairs of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emilio Lozada, and the director for Latin America and the Caribbean of the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Marian Schuegraf, headed the Inter-Foreign Ministries Political Consultations held the previous day.

Both parties ratified their willingness to work together to strengthen political dialogue, cooperation and exchange in areas of common interest, the Cuban Foreign Ministry said on its website.

The delegations also exchanged views on issues of the regional and multilateral agenda.

The visitor had a courtesy meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister Anayansi Rodríguez, who thanked Berlin for its support for the Cuban resolution against the blockade, which has been presented since 1992 at the United Nations General Assembly.
