Cuba reports one death, 33 new cases of Covid-19

Havana, September 1 (RHC)—The National Director of Epidemiology of the Public Health Ministry commended the School Year's resumption in many parts of Cuba. He urged students, parents, and staff to abide by the necessary hygiene measures to guarantee a smooth course.

After his introduction at the daily briefing on Covid-19, Dr. Duran informed about the death of an 84-year old patient in Havana. The death toll in Cuba now stands at 95.

He added that almost 5 thousand PCRs were conducted in the last 24 hours, out of which 33 people tested positive.

Cuba has already surpassed 4,000 people diagnosed with the disease since March. And with the new cases, 4065 people have tested positive on the island.
