Cuba reports 1,155 new COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths

Havana, May 24 (RHC)-- Cuban health authorities today confirmed 1,155 new cases of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes Covid-19 and 13 deaths in the last hours due to complications from the disease.

Thus, the Caribbean nation accumulates 134,208 patients diagnosed with the virus since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, and 890 fatalities due to the disease.

According to the National Director of Epidemiology, Dr. Francisco Duran, as of midnight, 6 803 positive patients remained hospitalized.

Havana reported 607 autochthonous cases, Mayabeque 86  and Pinar del Rio 68.
