Havana, August 17 (RHC)--Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez assured that the United States has no right to rule the destiny of Afghanistan or any other sovereign country.

On the occasion of the withdrawal of U.S. troops from the Central Asian nation, the foreign minister recalled Washington's participation in the conflict for two decades.

He wrote that it took 20 years with thousands of deaths and billions of dollars in expenses to confirm that the United States has no right to rule the destiny of Afghanistan or any sovereign country.

According to official figures, about 2,500 U.S. troops remained in Afghanistan when Joe Biden took office last January.

In April, the U.S. president said he would comply with the withdrawal agreed by the previous administration but postponed the date twice.

Yes, cracks in the facade of the Empire are showing. It won't be long until it is thrown into the trash bin of history.
