Conference Opens in Cuba on Cooling Systems and Renewable Energy

Havana, June 26 (PL-RHC) -- The newest developments in the world of refrigeration, air conditioning and renewable energy are on the agenda at a conference on the subject that began Wednesday.

This is the ninth edition of the event, taking place at the Convention Center in Havana, within the broad program of the First International Convention & Exposition of Cuban Industry (CubaIndustria 2014), said the organizers.

This specialized event, which runs until tomorrow, Friday, has as its main themes the equipment, systems, technologies and raw materials for the production, distribution and use of heating and cooling in the industrial, commercial, domestic, tourism and biotechnology areas.

The refrigeration chain and the problem of food preservation, renewable energy sources for heating and cooling, and knowledge management in the three basic themes of the meeting, are other topics to be discussed.

The Congress is open to all Cubans and foreign professionals interested in learning and sharing experiences and is being attended by a number of foreign firms.

An important part of this meeting will be a panel discussion on refrigerant gases. The use of natural refrigerants for air conditioning and the introduction of renewable energy sources in the country is another new item on the agenda.
