Cuba and Bahamas sign cooperation agreement for an emergency response to COVID-19

Havana, January 10 (RHC)-- Cuban Minister of Public Health, Dr. José Angel Portal Miranda, signed a cooperation agreement for an emergency response to COVID-19 with the Minister of Health and Welfare of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, Honorable Dr. Michael Darville.

 

The Cuban Ministry of Public Health website announced the signing on Monday.

 

A brigade of the Henry Reeve International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Situations of Disasters and Serious Epidemics, composed mainly of nursing personnel, will work in that country.

 

During the talks, both parties ratified their willingness to maintain and increase the existing collaboration.
