Cuba celebrates the birthday of Bolivarian leader Hugo Chávez

Havana, July 28 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel celebrated the 68th anniversary of the birth of Venezuelan revolutionary leader Hugo Chavez.

On his Twitter profile, the Cuban leader affirmed that his country celebrates the date, together with Venezuela and Latin America, and highlighted Chávez's exemplary legacy of solidarity.

Venezuelan revolutionary leader Hugo Chávez (1954-2013), was described by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, as "Cuba's best friend."

Chávez led the destiny of his country from 1999 until his death on March 5, 2013, after a tenacious fight against cancer which finally took his life at the age of 59.
