Santiago de Cuba, July 29 (RHC)-- Area residents of Santiago de Cuba, representing the Cuban people, will commemorate this July 30 the 65th anniversary of the assassination of revolutionary fighters Frank País García and his comrade Raúl Pujol.

The date turned into a tribute of national remembrance to the Martyrs of the Revolution, and mobilizes thousands of people of Santiago de Cuba in a solemn pilgrimage from the Céspedes Park to the tomb of the Chief of Action of the 26th of July Movement in the Santa Ifigenia Cemetery.

As part of the tribute, the Cuban and 26th of July flags are placed on the graves of those who fell in revolutionary actions and acts are carried out in the Placita de los Mártires and in the Callejón del Muro.

Also, this July 30th, homes and workplaces in the eastern city are decorated with the national flag and the red and black flag of the M-26 -- the July 26th Movement.
