Just on the day of his birth, the City Museum will host the solemn commemoration with the performances of the National Concert Band, a tradition already embraced by Havana's residents s and visitors. They, every September 11, revere Leal's legacy.

The vice-president of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba also informed about the presentation of the book "Hay que creer en Cuba" (One has to believe in Cuba), with interviews with Eusebio Leal Spengler, released by Ocean Sur Publishing House.

The Martí Theater, an architectural jewel in the historic center of the city affected by the explosion of the Saratoga Hotel, will be reopened on September 11 after an arduous restoration process.

In his memory, the Office of the City's Historian will also present the medal for Leal's 80 years and will place a commemorative plaque in the house located at 660 Hospital Street, the building where the researcher was born.

The launching of the CD Havana's Boyfriend by the Bis Music record label is also announced. It brings together renowned musicians and artists of the island to revere the prominent historian, who dedicated his life to restoring the Historic Center of the city and rescuing the island's heritage.
