Solidarity actions with Cuba in Switzerland

Bern, Sept 24 (RHC) The Vaud section of the Cuba-Switzerland Solidarity Association today announced activities in support of the island planned in Romandy (French-speaking part), including condemnation of the U.S. blockade.

In its monthly publication El Sol de Cuba, the section presided over by Michel Fleury calls for participation in actions in October and November, which include tributes to the heroic guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara and the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro, both planned in this capital, on the anniversaries of his death.

Likewise, it highlights the celebration of the forum "What Means for Peace" in mid-October in Solothurn, as well as meetings in Yverdon-Les-Bains and the assembly of delegates of the Cuba-Switzerland Association, scheduled for early November.

Likewise, the publication reiterates the call to hold an event on the 17th of each month to demand the lifting of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States on the Antillean nation, which will take place in October in YverdonLess-Bains itself and in November in Renens, cities in the canton of Vaud.

This month, members of the association unfurled banners at the Basel station demanding an end to the aggressions and the economic war against Cuba and expressed their love and solidarity with the island.

Also in September, the Third Romanian Day of Switzerland-Cuba Friendship was held, which highlighted the altruistic vocation of the Caribbean country and its Revolution, which translated into decades of aid to other peoples in various sectors, including health. (Source: PL)
