Havana, Dec 8 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez today described as extraordinary the official visits made by President Miguel Diaz-Canel to three Caribbean countries.

The head of Cuban diplomacy said that the high-level meetings held by Díaz-Canel in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados, and Grenada confirmed the validity of the thought and actions of the leaders of the Cuban Revolution Fidel and Raúl Castro.

He added that the visits ratified that mutual solidarity is the only way for the nations of the South, particularly for the integration of Latin America and the Caribbean, and the integration of Cuba in the Caribbean.

According to a note from the Cuban Presidency website, Rodriguez stressed that the Caribbean trip was an opportunity for the Antilles to express its great recognition to all the nations of the region, and its commitment to deepen bilateral cooperation.

Rodriguez said that during the VIII Caricom-Cuba Summit, which took place on the 6th in Barbados, the demand for the lifting of the U.S. blockade of Cuba and its removal from the spurious list of countries sponsoring terrorism continued.
