Havana, Jan 28 (RHC) Panama's Foreign Minister Janaina Tewaney Mencomo arrived Friday in Havana for her first official visit to Cuba.

 

The foreign minister was received by Eugenio Martínez, general director for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Gustavo Véliz, director for Central America of the same organization, and Maibel Costa Ramírez, a specialist of the same Directorate.

 

As part of the program, the Panamanian minister participated this Saturday in the closing ceremony of the V International Conference For the Balance of the World, an event to celebrate the 170th anniversary of José Martí´s birth on January 28.

 

She is also expected to hold official conversations with his Cuban counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, and other high-ranking government officials. (Source: Prensa Latina).
