Havana, Feb 19 (RHC) Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez reiterated on Sunday Cuba's gratitude to the heads of governments of the Caribbean Community (Caricom) for their permanent stance in rejection of the U.S. blockade against this nation.

Our sincere gratitude for their support and a renewed call for the lifting of the unjust economic, commercial, and financial blockade against the people and government of Cuba, the top Cuban diplomat wrote on Twitter.

The 44th conference of heads of government of the integrationist community, held in Nassau, Bahamas, from the 15th to the 17th, had among its main topics the situation in Haiti.

The participants agreed to build international alliances to support efforts to restore peace and stability. They also discussed aspects of food and energy security and climate and health financing, among other issues.

Founded in 1973 in Trinidad and Tobago and made up of 15 member states and five associate members, Caricom promotes economic and trade unions, foreign policy coordination, and cooperation in various areas of common interest. (Source: PL)
