Havana, March 17 (RHC) Salvador Valdés Mesa, Vice President of the Republic, returned this week to the municipality of Güines, in the western province of Mayabeque, to continue his tours of places of economic and social interest in that territory.

As reported on Twitter, Valdés Mesa, candidate for deputy to the National Popular Assembly, and his fellow candidate, Professor Judima Fernández Olivera, spoke with students and teachers from the School of Sports Initiation in Mayabeque where they learned about the main characteristics and sports results of that institution.

Another educational center, the Instituto Politécnico República Bolivariana de Venezuela, where Computer Science, Civil Construction, Economics and Electricity are studied, was the second point of the tour in which they talked with the students to learn about their concerns.

Both candidates traveled to the Osvaldo Sánchez popular council to visit the sawmill, the Espiga de Oro commercial unit, as well as other establishments of the Tiendas Caribe chain.

Until next March 24, the candidates from all over the country will hold meetings with the population, in tours of communities and production, services, education and science centers, as well as armed institutions, with a view to the national elections on Sunday March 26th. (Source: ACN)
