Head of Vietnam’s Parliament will begin visit to Cuba

Havana, April 18 (RHC) - The member of Vietnam’s Political Bureau of the Communist Party and president of the National Assembly, Vuong Dinh Hue, begins an official visit to Cuba today.

Vuong will be in Cuba in the context of commemorations for the fiftieth anniversary of the visit of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro to Vietnam, and the sixtieth anniversary of the creation of the Cuban Committee of Solidarity with South Vietnam.

Vuong Dinh Hue and his entourage will develop an extensive program of activities until April twenty-three, which includes conversations with Cuban authorities.

Both Legislatives maintain close ties at the highest level, in which the virtual exchange held in March two thousand twenty-two between Vuong Dinh Hue and his Cuban counterpart, Esteban Lazo, stands out.

In November two thousand twenty-two, the secretary of the National Assembly of People's Power, Homero Acosta, made a working visit to Vietnam, where he developed a program of activities in Hanoi and in the provinces of Da Nang, Can Tho, and Ho Chi Minh City.

The trip of the top Vietnamese parliamentary leader will take place just after Cuba successfully held the general elections to integrate the Tenth National Assembly. (Source: Prensa Latina)
