Díaz-Canel continues to evaluate the development of the economy in Las Tunas

Havana, May 18 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC-PCC) and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel continued Thursday in Las Tunas the exchanges with various actors of society, to evaluate the actions of that eastern province with a view to developing the country's economy.

The Presidency reported on Twitter that local leaders, producers, peasants, teachers and specialists from various fields are participating in the meeting, and the fulfillment of the commitments made last January is being checked.

Manuel Marrero Cruz, Cuban Prime Minister, and Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the CC-PCC, are accompanying the President.

On Thursday morning, the head of state began the dialogues in the province of Holguin, where Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdes Mesa also participated.

The exchanges with the dignitary began last week in Artemisa and have already been held in Sancti Spíritus, Villa Clara, Cienfuegos, Matanzas, Mayabeque, Pinar del Río, Havana, Camagüey, Guantánamo, Santiago de Cuba and Granma.
