Cubans in Argentina condemned interventionist position of the European Parliament

Havana, July 13 (RHC) The Union of Cuban Residents in Argentina (URCA) today condemned the interventionist position of the European Parliament and the support of that body for US attacks on the Caribbean nation.

In a statement, the URCA rejected an EP resolution against the island, approved thanks to the actions of conservative and far-right legislators who maintain ties with anti-Cuban politicians in the United States and intend to hinder the course of relations between Cuba and the European Union.

We support the declaration of the International Relations Commission of the National Assembly of the People's Power of Cuba that indicates that the European Parliament lacks the moral, political and legal authority to judge our country, the text indicates.

The URCA message was also supported by the Argentine Solidarity Movement with the island, the Friends of Cuba Journalists Club, the Association of Graduates in that nation, the Union of Women for Cuba and the Tatu Proposal.

In addition to criticizing Washington's pressure on the EP to attack the Caribbean nation, these organizations accused the United States of being the true manager of the conflict in Ukraine and stigmatizing and attacking the States that maintain relations with Russia. (Source: PL)
