Managua, Aug 13 (RHC) The president of the National Assembly of Nicaragua, Gustavo Porras, greeted the Cuban nation on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the birth of the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro.

Through a press release, Porras highlighted the respect and admiration for Fidel and recognized his historical legacy of untiring struggle to change the destiny of the Caribbean nation.

The deputy added that the Cuban leader will always be a symbol of the anti-imperialist struggle, defender of peace, friendship and solidarity, precursor of new revolutions for the peoples of the world and standard for the Caribbean nation that resists the "unjust aggressions of the U.S. empire".

He reiterated the commitment to continue his legacy of fidelity and, above all, to resist with determination the common enemy (the United States) that insists on trampling on the sovereignty and self-determination of dignified and courageous peoples (Source: Prensa Latina).
