Cienfuegos, September 9 (RHC)-- French parliamentarians visiting Cuba today spoke out against the economic blockade that the United States has maintained for more than 60 years against the Caribbean island.

André Chassaigne, President of the France Cuba Friendship Group and Member of the Economic Business Commission of the French Parliament explained to Prensa Latina that this group and Cuba France Cooperation are constantly looking for ways to "go around" the U.S. blockade against Cuba and help the Caribbean country.

Chassaigne denounced that the blockade is a war against Cuba, which now does not use weapons but continues to be a direct attack, in which the US government behaves as an abuser.

The French parliamentarian informed about a book he has written on the subject of the blockade, which he hopes will serve to combat the lack of knowledge on this subject in his country.

Eric Coquerel, Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Assembly of the European country, said that from his position he has held conversations with French bankers to help circumvent the financial obstacles of the U.S. blockade against Cuba.

The delegation also included Jean Pierre Cubertafon, Vice Chairman of the Defense Committee and Roger Chudeau, Member of the Cultural Business Committee of the French Parliament. (Source: Prensa Latina)
