Díaz-Canel leads march in homage to Camilo Cienfuegos

Havana, October 27 (RHC) -- Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, presides over the parade in tribute to the 64th anniversary of the physical disappearance of Commander Camilo Cienfuegos Gorriarán (1932-1959), reflects a post by the Presidency on X.

The Cuban president was accompanied by Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the PCC; Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the PCC and head of the Ideological Department, as well as other leaders of the Party, the Government and the mass organizations of the country.

Camilo, recognized by the people as the Hero of Yaguajay and the Lord of the Vanguard, was part of the Granma expedition and was one of the fundamental pillars to achieve the revolutionary triumph in January 1959.
