Havana, November 21 (Web Network) --The member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and vice president of the Republic, Salvador Valdés Mesa toured this Tuesday the Museum of the Campaign against Genocide, on his second and last day of his official visit to Rwanda.

In its account on X, the Presidency of Cuba notes that the installation shows how the forces of the Rwandan Patriotic Front stopped the 1994 genocide.

The source adds that the details contained in said museum help to better understand the history of the genocide that the people of that nation had to face in just 100 days, a period in which more than one million people were killed.

"The sequence of events described, which occurred in 1994, are lessons for present and future generations of Rwandans and the whole world," the Cuban vice president wrote in his profile on the social network.
