Havana, December 7 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has returned home to Havana following a successful trip to several Middle East countries.

Early Thursday morning, President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez arrived in Cuba after his official visits to the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Iran.

He was received at the airport by Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz, the Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Party, Roberto Morales Ojeda, Salvador Valdés Mesa, Vice President of the Republic, and Amado Ricardo Guerra, Secretary of the Council of Ministers.

The Cuban president, representing the country that holds the pro-tempore presidency of the Group of 77 and China, participated in COP 28, the Conference of the Parties, which is the highest decision-making body of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

In relation to this issue, Díaz-Canel also attended a Summit of leaders of the G-77 and China, convened by Cuba, in September in New York.
