Havana, December 7 (RHC) -- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Thursday congratulated the members of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution (ACRC), on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the organization's founding.

The president stressed that this December 7 is a historic day for the Homeland, in addition to the 127th anniversary of the fall in combat of Lieutenant General Antonio Maceo and his aide Panchito Gómez Toro.

Díaz-Canel sent, through the social network X, a strong embrace to the fighters of the ACRC and expressed "the greatest respect and recognition" for all its members.

The organization groups generations of internationalist fighters and combatants, since this day in 1993 when it was officially presented in a ceremony presided over by leaders Fidel Castro, Raul Castro and the first president of the ACRC, Commander of the Revolution Juan Almeida Bosque.
