Cuba's parliament congratulates Cuban deputy appointed new Parlatino president

Deputy Rolando Miguel González Patricio

 

Havana, Dec 11 (RHC)-- The National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP) congratulated deputy Rolando Miguel González Patricio, who assumed the presidency of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (Parlatino).

 

For the first time a Cuban deputy assumes the presidency of Parlatino, explained the Parliament in its social network X.

 

González Patricio, who is also head of the International Relations Commission of the National Assembly of People's Power, replaced Senator Silvia Giacoppo, whose term of office is coming to an end.

 

The new President of Parlatino is also a graduate of the Raúl Roa García Higher Institute of International Relations and a Professor and Researcher with a PhD in Historical Sciences.

 

Rolando González Patricio began his working life as a researcher at the Centro de Estudios Martianos, of which he was also director. He was head of the Cuban Institute of Cultural Research Juan Marinello, and rector of the University of the Arts. (Source: ACN)
