Cuba committed to preserving ALBA's humanist essence

 

Havana, December 14 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla ratified the commitment to preserve the humanist and social essence of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA-TCP) 19 years after its creation.

 

In his account on the social network X, Rodríguez Parrilla stressed the responsibility of ALBA-TCP member countries to work for more conquests, recalling the creation of this alliance on December 14, 2004.

In unison, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX) highlighted how in these almost two decades of work, ALBA-TCP has woven ties of integration and cooperation among the peoples of the Americas.

 

Also in publication in X, the MINREX evoked the gestation of this mechanism by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro (1926-2016), and the late president of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez (1954-2013), strengthening the union among the peoples of the continent.

 

ALBA-TCP is an integration platform formed by 9 Latin American and Caribbean countries as an alternative to the Free Trade Area of the Americas, promoted by the United States.
