Argentinean journalists reject statements on Cuba

Buenos Aires, December 20 (RHC) -- The Club of Journalists Friends of Cuba (Capac) rejected Wednesday the statements made by some officials and media commentators about the alleged presence of alleged Cuban and Venezuelan "agitators" in that country.

This argument only responds to a staging to create a "common enemy" and to apply, with the endorsement of a sector of society, a protocol of the Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich. The objective is to criminalize social protest, to demonstrate power and to curtail the legitimate right to demonstrate publicly, states a communiqué from that organization.

In addition, Capac expressed its support to the declarations of the general director of Latin America and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the island, Eugenio Martinez, who warned about "slanderous attempts to associate Cuba with the alleged agitation or preparation of acts of vandalism in Argentina".

I categorically affirm that Cuba neither promotes nor participates nor executes acts that constitute interference in Argentina's internal affairs, added Martinez in a message released the day before.
