Havana, February 17 (RHC) --The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC-PCC) and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, visited productive centres in the central-southern province of Cienfuegos on Friday to check their performance and contribute to solving problems.

The dignitary was accompanied by Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organisation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba; Marydé Fernández López, first secretary of that organisation in the territory, and the governor, Alexandre Corona Quintero.

In his X account, Díaz-Canel said: "We continue to exchange with our people, with the conviction that with daily effort we can move forward".

He added that they are going where there are problems in order to find solutions together.

During the tour, he emphasised the importance of increasing food production and overcoming difficulties with the Cubans' own efforts.

At the Municipal Party Committee of the Cienfuegos municipality of Palmira, the head of state analysed the non-fulfilment of some 63 physical productions, as well as four exportable items (honey, coal, rams and Persian lime).
