Havana, May 1 (RHC)-- Radio Havana Cuba celebrates it's 64th anniversary on May 1st. Born during the U.S.-supported mercenary invasion one month earlier at the Bay of Pigs -- also known as Playa Giron -- the name "Radio Havana Cuba" was officially given to the experimental shortwave radio station on May 1, 1961.
Workers from the international radio station took part in the march through the Plaza de la Revolucion in Havana Thursday morning.
