Japan's Crown Prince Receives Visiting Cuban Vice President

Tokyo, March 11 (RHC) – Cuban Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas was received on Wednesday by His Imperial Highness, Crown Prince of Japan, Naruhito. The meeting was held in the framework of Cabrisas' week-long visit to the Asian country.

According to a statement by the Cuban embassy in Tokyo, Cabrisas held an animated dialogue with Naruhito, to whom he conveyed warm greetings on behalf of Cuban President Raul Castro. They also discussed the current state of relations between Cuba and Japan.

Earlier on Tuesday, Cabrisas also met with members of the Cuba-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group. There, Deputy Keiji Furuya reiterated the group's keenness to continue deepening the relationship between both countries.

Cabrisas has also met with other high-ranking Japanese officials, including the President of Japan's Chamber of Commerce, Toshio Nakamura.
