Havana, June 1 (RHC)-- Cuba today celebrates International Children's Day with special educational, cultural and sports activities in all primary and secondary schools across the country.

Activities were also held at recreational centers, parks, orphanages and pediatric care centers in both urban and rural regions.

Speaking with reporters in Havana, the President of the José Martí Pioneer Children's Organization (OPJM), Nexy Véliz, on behalf of Cuban children and adolescents, conveyed a message of friendship and solidarity to the world's youngest generations, whom Cuban National Hero José Martí called: “Those who really know how to love, the world's hope.”
