Cuban Anti-terrorist Meets with Senior French Senate Official

Paris, September 10 (RHC)-- Anti-terrorist fighter and Hero of the Republic of Cuba Gerardo Hernández met in Paris with Bernard Cazeau, who is in charge of economic, administrative and financial issues within the French Senate.

Gerardo, one of the Cuban Five, is currently in France, where he traveled accompanied by his wife Adriana Pérez and their daughter, Gema.

During his meeting with the French senator, Gerardo thanked the countless gestures of solidarity from French legislators and solidarity organizations with the cause of the Cuban Five, as well as their support to the international campaign for their release from UJ jails.

Gerardo Hernández also acknowledged the many actions developed by the France-Caribbean Friendship Group of the French Senate in support of Cuba and against the US blockade.

Senator Bernard Cazeau, who is the leader of the solidarity group, highlighted the traditional bonds of friendship between the French and Cuban governments and parliaments, and the existing bilateral cooperation programs in sectors like culture and the economy.
