Lima, June 4 (Andina-RHC) -- Peruvian Environment Minister, Manuel Pulgar-Vidal, is expected to visit Germany to attend the second round of climate change negotiations of the United Nations, it was reported Tuesday.

The talks are aimed at picking up on issues which were not resolved in Copenhagen and to paving the way for the full implementation of climate change action across the globe.

The conference will bring together ministers in charge of environment affairs of their respective countries to discuss key political issues affecting climate change worldwide.

The senior government officials will meet to advance implementation of the second commitment period of the Kyoto Protocol, and to accelerate other emission reduction efforts.

The event is expected to provide guidance, and further impetus for governments working on their national contributions to the new, universal climate change agreement to be adopted in Paris next year.

According to a resolution released Tuesday, the talks are due to be held on June 14th and 15th in Bonn, Germany.
