UAE Ready to Strengthen Links with Cuba

Abu Dhabi, February 25 (RHC-PL) -– Furthermore, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Cuba on Tuesday expressed willingness to take concrete and immediate steps to strengthen and expand cooperation in various fields, diplomatic sources highlighted in Abu Dhabi.

The commitment was made during a meeting between the Deputy Minister of the United Arab Emirates for Political Affairs, Ahmed Al Jarman and Cuban diplomat Enrique Enriquez.

Enriquez presented his credentials to Jarman as designated Cuban representative in the Emirates and took advantage of the opportunity to exchange on the state of relations between the two countries.

The talks took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, in which the Cuban diplomat held other meetings with directors of international organizations and of American Affairs of this government institution.

Cuba and the UAE, a Federation made up of seven small Emirates of the Arabic peninsula, established diplomatic relations on March 18, 2002.
