Sports City Coliseum preparing for The Rolling Stones concert

Preparations are underway in Havana for the Rolling Stones concert set for March 25th as a big metal structure is being erected at the Sports City Coliseum area.

More than 400 thousand people are scheduled to enjoy the live performance of the legendary rock band that is set to start at 8:30 p.m. and expected to last two hours and fifteen minutes. The concert is free for all attendants, both Cuban and foreigners.

The band’s multinational team, made up of Americans, Cubans, Belgians, Germans, Peruvians, British, Mexicans and others are currently working on security and the stage, works that will last another five days. The stage is 80 meters long, 56 meters wide and 20 meters high, plus ten screens which will be installed in the area.

The historical presentation of the famous British rock band on the Caribbean island is part of the group’s current Latin American Tour titled "América Latina Olé Tour", which started on February 3rd, 2015 in Chile, continued in Argentina and Uruguay and will wind up in Havana in March.
