Pan-Am Discus Throw´s doping scandal can give Denia Caballera the Bronze

Havana, August 30 (RHC) – The Brazilian Discus Thrower Andreissa de Morais did not pass the anti-doping control of the Lima 2019 Pan-Am Games and can lose the Silver medal she won in the Peruvian capital.

The result´s annulment would give Cuban Denia Caballero the Bronze medal, as she finished 4th in the competition won by also Cuban Yaime Perez.

The Brazilian Discus Thrower, won the Silver medal in the recently finished Lima 2019 Pan-Am Games, after launching the item to a distance of 65.98 meters, her personal best. De Morais has already qualified for the Discus Throw Finals of the Diamond League, and she is one of the few who have defeated Croatian Sandra Perkovic.
