Yurisbel Gracial scores big in Japan's SoftBank triumph

Tokyo, October 20 (RHC)-- Cuba's baseball player Yurisbel Gracial connected with three hits in four times at bat and knocked in three runs in the 11x2 Nippon Ham Wrestlers' SoftBank Hawks win in a Japanese Professional Baseball League (NPB) game played Tuesday.

Among his scores, Gracial hit two doubles, bringing his average to 295 and his total RBIs for the year so far to 29.

Another Cuban ball player who stood out during the day was Dayán Viciedo, who also scored three hits, including a double, to lead the Chunichi Dragons to victory over the DeNa 6x1 Stars.  Viciedo, whose contract is independent from the Cuban Baseball Federation, scored one to raise his offensive average to 264 and his total of RBIs to 76.

Cuban left-hander Onelki Garcia charged with the Hanshin Tigers' backhand against the Hiroshima Tents 5-1, in a game where he allowed 4 runs with 4 shots in 3 innings, to leave his negative mark at 2-6 and his effectiveness rose to 4.42.

Another Cuban player with a negative performance this Tuesday was Leonys Martin, who went 4-0 with two strike-outs and an error.  His team, the Marinos de Lotte, lost against the Lions of Seibu 2-1.
