Havana, October 24 (PL)-- Substitute Aquimo Jiménez hit a home run with the bases loaded in the tenth inning and the Isle of Youth left Camagüey (12-10) in the dust, at the beginning of new baseball subseries in Cuba.

Only three outs away from falling into extra-innings, the Cristóbal Labra stadium, the Pirates of the Island (7-19), penultimate in the classification, attacked the Camagüeyan Bulls (20-10), one of the leaders of the competition, with special emphasis on the Jimenez Grand Slam (1-1, 4CI, 1CA, 1HR).

Undisputed hero of the filibusters, the starter hit a homerun, with the ball flying over the fence in left field to define the duel in its only offensive presentation of the afternoon.

The victory ended in the score of the relief player Yeinel Zayas (1-0), author of a four-run performance entry -two clean- and one hit, this other long shot by the central guard Leonel Moa from Camagüey (4-2, 4CI, 2CA, 1HR).
