Havana, April 2 (RHC)-- With an offense of 16 hits, including home runs by Guillermo Garcia, Granma knocked out Matanzas by a score of 15 to 5 in the fourth game of the final, to be one win away from the Cuban baseball crown.

After a quiet start, the rain surprised in the seventh inning and the game was suspended for an hour and a half.  The main umpire Juan José Cuevas shouted 'play ball' again and the Alazanes sealed the success to place the best-of-seven series 3-1 in their favor.

Mentor Carlos Martí's team had two outstanding players: pitcher Yoel Mojena and designated hitter García, a 20-year-old slugger, seen as one of the great talents of the island.

After this result, the Alazanes will look for the last victory on Friday with their ace Lázaro Blanco (5-0), while the Cocodrilos will also place their main figure, Yoanni Yera (2-2), in the box of the José Antonio Huelga Stadium.
