Movistar officially presents Cuban cyclist Arlenis Sierra

Madrid, October 19 (RHC(PL)-- The Spanish Movistar team officially presented Cuban cyclist Arlenis Sierra as one of its members for the next season of the international circuit.

On its website, the Spanish team said Monday that the Cuban, fifth in the World Road Race, is one of the most complete riders of the World Tour and her contribution will be vital for the team's results.

Meanwhile, Arlenis said she was very happy with her signing, thanked the confidence placed in her by the board and assured that she will make the most of the opportunity.

Born in the Granma municipality of Manzanillo, Arlenis Sierra remarked that her link with Movistar will allow her to develop even more as a professional rider and that she hopes to enjoy the new experience to the fullest.

The team is led by Dutch rider Annemiek van Vleuten, three-time world champion and starter in the time trial at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Other members of the team include Colombian Paula Patiño, Katrine Aalerud (NOR), Aude Biannic (FRA), Jelena Eri (SRB), Alicia González (ESP), Barbara Guarischi (ITA), Sheyla Gutiérrez (ESP), Sara Martín (ESP), Emma Norsgaard (DEN), Lourdes Oyarbide (ESP), Gloria Rodríguez (ESP) and Sarah Gigante (AUS).
