Cuban Karel Guzman's U-Banca Transilvania Cluj Napoca made its 2022 debut with a comfortable 98-72 win over Municipal Focsani to maintain its unbeaten run in 12 outings in the Romanian National Basketball League.

The current leaders of the local tournament dominated the first three quarters of the game by 31-20, 23-15 and 30-18, and only conceded in the final segment 14-19, after leading by 31 points.
