Cuba vs Antigua

Havana, June 13 (ACN) -- With three goals by captain Arichell Hernandez, Cuba got its fourth victory in the CONCACAF National League, beating Antigua and Barbuda 3-1, in a match played at the Antonio Maceo Stadium in Santiago de Cuba.

Arichel commented to the Cuban News Agency the evolution of the team with greater play creation, precision in the delivery and recovery of the ball and offensive effectiveness.

He considered that the system of four defenders, an equal number of midfielders and two wingers (4-4-2) allows them to have more freedom to look for spaces inside the opposing defense and take advantage of the passes between the lines of midfielders Onel Hernández and Luis Javier Paradela.

With this victory, Cuba has three points and leads Group B, looking to advance to the next phase and qualify for the Gold Cup.

Onel Hernández, player of the English League, highlighted the superiority of the team in the three matches after the defeat against Guadeloupe and praised the quality and unity of the players.

He thanked the Santiago fans for their support and affirmed his commitment to the Cuban jersey, which has been his greatest aspiration since his beginnings as a soccer player.
