Havana, August 4 (RHC) - Cuban Yarisleidis Cirilo continues to shine at the World Canoe Championship in Halifax, Canada. This Thursday she won her qualifying heat of the C-1 200 meters.

20 years old and double world medalist in Copenaghe-2021, with her victory Cirilo advanced directly to the final A of the event scheduled for Sunday.

The Tokyo-2020 Olympic finalist won the fastest canoeing event with 46.52 seconds, ahead of China's Wenjun Lin (46.59) and USA's Nevin Harrison (46.87). All three qualified directly to the A final, where experts consider the Cuban as one of the candidates for the podium.
