Cuban delegation in France

Havana, July 21 (ACN)-- Authorities of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (Inder) and the Cuban Olympic Committee (COC), toured in France the facilities that will host training bases for athletes from the island, prior to the Paris 2024 Olympics.

According to Jit, the presidents of Inder, Osvaldo Vento Montiller, and COC, Roberto León Richards, visited the cities of Bobigny, Noisy-Le-Sec, Tremblay and Bonneuil-Sur-Marne, where they held meetings with high-level representatives of the municipalities.

"In all cases, we noted and appreciated the willingness and enthusiasm with which they are willing to contribute to this purpose," said Vento Montiller.

Although initially the plan involves disciplines such as boxing, taekwondo, swimming and water polo, said Jit, other options were left open depending on Cuba's needs, adjusted to the results of the qualifying processes.

From the French side, there was praise for Cuba's performance in the Olympic concert, and consensus on seeing sport as a way to strengthen relations between the two countries, adds the communication.

The presidents of Inder and COC said that the priority assigned by the Cuban State allows aspiring to a good performance of its delegation in the Paris 2024 event, with an eye on its confirmation at the forefront of these fairs.
