Cuba vs Canada in Norceca Pan American Cup Final Six

Havana, August 22 (ACN)-- The Cuban women's volleyball team will face Canada this Tuesday in the North, Central America and Caribbean (Norceca) Pan American Cup Final Six, to be held until next 26th in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

After defeating Puerto Rico 3-0 (25-21, 25-14 and 25-18) on Sunday and losing 2-3 (14-25, 25-21, 16-25, 25-22 and 10-15) to the hosts on Monday, the Cubans will be looking for their second success in the tournament against the Canadians, who were beaten 1-3 (22-25, 20-25, 25-17 and 18-25) by the Mexicans.

Tuesday's schedule is completed with the matches United States-Mexico and Dominican Republic-Puerto Rico, in the third day of the preliminary round of the round-robin system.

In the other match on Monday, the Americans defeated the Puerto Ricans 3-0 (25-12, 25-15 and 25-7).

The semifinal stage is scheduled for the 25th between the four best placed teams, while the fifth and sixth places will fight to avoid the last place of the tournament that will conclude on the 26th with the discussion of the bronze and gold medals, in that order.

The United States and the Dominican Republic lead so far with two wins without setbacks, followed by the Cubans and the Mexicans (1-1), and the Canadians and Puerto Ricans (0-2).
