Havana, January 26 (PL) - Outfielder Yadir Drake will play in the Cuban baseball All-Star Series, after being authorized by the FCBS to join the roster of Matanzas, champion of the recently concluded II Elite League.

In a message published on the X platform, formerly Twitter, the Cuban Federation of Baseball and Softball (FCBS) confirmed the participation of the member of Team Asere in the V World Classic last year in the tournament to be held from next Sunday at the Victoria de Giron stadium in Matanzas with the participation of teams from Mexico and Venezuela, and two Cuban teams.

"In attention to his request and demonstrated commitment to #Matanzas, it has been authorized that Yadir Drake integrate the payroll of that team for the All-Star Series of the II Elite League of #BeisbolCubano, which begins this Sunday," highlights the text published by the FCBS.

Drake could not join this year the Cocodrilos de Matanzas for the Cuban winter league because at the time of concluding his commitments with Algodoneros de Guasave in the Liga Arco Mexicana del Pacífico, the high and low of the II Elite League was already closed as the player himself acknowledged through his Facebook page.
