Two Cubans in Japanese baseball All-Star Series

Havana, July 15 (JIT) - Cubans Ariel and Raidel Martinez will participate in the All-Star Series of the Japan Professional Baseball League 2023.

Only four Latinos will be involved in the two-game event scheduled for July 19-20 in Nagoya and Hiroshima.

They are Mexico's Roberto Osuna, Dominican Luis Perdomo and Ariel for the so-called Pacific League, and Raidel for the Central League.

Ariel has appeared in 65 games with the Nippon Ham Fighters, in which he accumulated 198 at-bats, 51 hits, nine runs and 10 home runs.

Raidel has 30 starts, one win, one loss, six hold points and 21 saves. In 29 innings he has not allowed any runs, with no less than 43 strikeouts and exhibits a whip of 0.83.
